The CAPA Sydney Program will immerse students in the lifestyle of a typical Australian, including city living and studying on the campus of an Australian college.
In our cornerstone Analyzing & Exploring the Global City course, students get out of the classroom and into the city to learn how the forces of colonization, migration, economic modernization, and globalization have affected Sydney and its inhabitants. Students also benefit from our rigorous, internationally focused business courses, and may also group them into a certificate-earning track via our CAPA Global Business Institute. Through a partnership with University of Technology Sydney, we also offer world-class STEM courses supported by state of the art facilities.
Our innovative My Global Education engages students with the local culture through a calendar of events examining key themes: Globalization, Urban Environments, Social Dynamics, and Diversity. Learning opportunities may include a powerful guest lecture on immigration, guided excursion to the inspiring Blue Mountains Natural Park, or self-directed visit to one of the best Aboriginal art collections in the world at the Art Gallery of New South Wales as students integrate all the unique experiences Sydney has to offer.
Additionally, 90% of CAPA Sydney students take part in a credit-earning internship, which provides further immersion and an opportunity to observe Australian business culture. Students are placed within a large variety of fields and industries, from non-profit or arts organizations to financial services companies or sports teams.
