You will need a visa to enter China for the CAPA workshop. Nicole Couturiaux will support you through this process, liaising with our expert Shanghai-based staff. Please do not apply on your own, as Nicole will provide all required forms, numbers, and instructions.
Please complete the following steps as early as possible, and before August 30.
Step 1. Check your passport to ensure that it:
- has TWO adjacent blank pages blank – for visa entry stamp
- is valid for at least SIX months from the October entry date
If your passport doesn’t meet this criteria please contact Nicole right away for information to renew via the US State Department.
Step 2. Send Nicole a copy of the data page of your passport (page with name, picture, etc.)
Email to email@example.com or fax to 857 207-3324.
Step 3. Complete and return the visa form provided by Nicole
You should change a little money into RMB before you leave the US so you have some cash on hand. You may also wish to inform your bank that you will be traveling to China, so your ATM cards will work abroad.
Taxi to Hotel
Take a metered, licensed taxi from the taxi stand at the Shanghai (PVG) airport.
Please do not accept any offers of taxis from people in the airport terminal; these are illegal and overpriced.
The cost of the taxi from the airport (PVG) to the hotel should be around 200 RMB ($30 USD). The following is the address of the hotel in Shanghai. Show this section to your taxi driver:

October in Shanghai brings pleasant, clear, and often sunny weather. Temperatures may range from high 50’s in the mornings and evenings to low 70’s at peak day. There may be an occasional shower.
Causal dress is encouraged for the weekend, when we will get together as a group for the tour of Shanghai on Sunday.
We recommend business casual dress on Monday, when we meet with ECNU executives and visit internship site.
Following these meetings, feel free to dress more casually and comfortably, according to the weather conditions.
