Spend the summer living and learning in the birthplace of the Renaissance. Students will study and travel with Texas State faculty Moira Di Mauro-Jackson with additional in-country support provided by CAPA The Global Education Network.
In shared apartments throughout the city, students will be able to live like the locals after being shown around their neighborhoods and the surrounding city on a guided walking tour. Throughout the semester, students will be immersed academically and socially through coursework, service learning opportunities and a full-day excursion south of Florence, to the towns of Siena and San Gimignano.
The program will close with a train to Naples for an 8 day stay on the Amalfi Coast, where students will enjoy exploring sites such as Pompeii, the historic city of Naples, and Mount Vesuvius. From Tuscany to Sorrento–this program will allow you to live in two of Italy’s most historic, beautiful and culturally rich regions.
